About This Site

What This Is All About

Mentoring Moments' primary purpose is to help parents to mentor their kids into a loving and informed relationship with Jesus. Parents are by far the number one influence on their kids so spiritual training is best accomplished through parents.

We desire to offer a resource of object lessons that you can use on the fly as they become appropriate throughout the day or as part of a family worship or discussion with your kids. Jesus used everyday object lessons to help His teaching stick in the mind and we believe that His methods are still relevant in our world.

Of course, the most important part of mentoring kids is having a consistent life. That is, making following Jesus your number 1 priority all the time no matter who is or is not watching. A website cannot do that for you but we can give ideas for your teaching time.

How To Use This Site

These object lessons are primarily intended for parents to use with their kids but there are many other ways they can be used:

Family Worships
Answering those, "Daddy (or Mommy), why is…" questions.
Nature hikes
While driving in the car (This can be a very excellent time to get your kids talking as there is no eye contact needed)
In church Sabbath Schools or Sunday Schools
Children's ministry programs and Vacation Bible Schools
Children's sermons
Summer camp

In order to help prevent abuse, we log the following actions:
